FAQs About Surplus Vehicle Sales

Q: Who can purchase the NCSHP vehicles? 

A: Anyone. Vehicles are available to all government agencies and the general public.

Q: How many miles have the vehicles been driven?
A: Typically, the mileages range between 120,000 and 160,000 miles. 

Q: Do you provide a vehicle warranty?
A: No, all vehicles are sold "as-is".  However, each vehicle is available for your inspection prior to purchase.

Q: Are service records available?
A: Yes, service records are available.

Q: Are vehicles available in different colors?
A: The majority of our surplus vehicles are silver. However, a few are available in a variety of standard factory colors.

Q: Are the prices negotiable on these vehicles?
A: No, the prices are non-negotiable. 
 

Q: Where and when can I see these vehicles?
A: These vehicles are available for inspection at N.C. State Surplus Property located at 6501 Chapel Hill Road, Highway 54 W, Raleigh N.C. 27607.  Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., excluding state holidays.
