North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM) along with Durham, Johnston, and Wake County Emergency Management invites local high school students to participate in the North Carolina Emergency Management Experience. This is a program designed to encourage young women in grades 9-12 to explore careers in emergency management and public safety. Key Components
- Learn about key emergency management and public safety jobs.
- Explore careers through field trips within Durham, Johnston and Wake counties.
- Participate in a career fair and networking event.
- There is no cost for students to participate in the program. NCEM will provide breakfast snacks and lunch for participants. Travel to and from the NC State Emergency Operations Center for the event is not provided.
