RE:               Troopers Participate in Read Across America Day

In anticipation for the sixteenth annual National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America Day, the State Highway Patrol proudly announces its participation in the nationwide event.

Troopers in the Wake County area will read books written by Dr. Seuss to students who attend the East Garner Elementary School in Garner.  NEA's Read Across America Day, which celebrates Dr. Seuss's birthday and the joys of reading, expects more than 45 million readers, both young and old, to pick up a book and read.

Two separate readings are scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 2nd and Friday, March 3rd at 9:30 a.m. at the East Garner Elementary School located at 5545 Jones Sausage Rd, Garner, NC 27529.
