Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for more than $400 billion in Federal grants. Grants.gov is THE single access point for over 1,000 grant programs offered by all Federal grant making agencies. Catalog of Federal Domestic assistance (CFDA) 
The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance is government-wide compendium of Federal programs, projects, services, and activities which provide assistance or benefits to the American public. It contains financial and non-financial assistance programs administered by departments and establishments of the Federal government.

Federal Register
On-line version of the Federal Register. Published daily, this contains current grant solicitation notices issued by federal agencies. Searchable.

Federal Agencies 
A list of all federal departments and agencies from FirstGov.

Thomas:  Library of Congress 
Searchable data base that covers Federal Legislative information on the Internet.

U.S NonProfit Gateway:
Information from the federal government useful to non-profits. Includes a searchable database of 30,000 federal documents.

2011 Grant Awards provides brief descriptions of all of OJP's funding opportunities, listing the amount of funding available, who can apply, and the status of program regulations, guidelines, reports, and application kits. Department of Housing and Urban Development SuperNOFA (link is external)

HUD has consolidated most of its grants into one Notification of Funds Available Notice, or SuperNOFA. Please note that each grant has its own application process and its own deadline. Under each program covered by the SuperNOFA, you can download the application kit or request that a hard copy of the kit be sent to you. You also can link to the "webcast" of the training programs associated with each NOFA.
