SHP Preparing for Increased Traffic During Holiday Season

The State Highway Patrol is preparing for the holiday season and for the increased number of roadway users expected across our state.  During the coming weeks, the Patrol will proactively target dangerous driver behaviors to include speeding, distracted driving and impaired driving.   

State Highway Patrol Graduates 39 New Troopers

The State Highway Patrol officially welcomed 39 new troopers at a swearing-in ceremony held for the 154th Basic Highway Patrol School.  The ceremony ended 12 weeks of rigorous training to prepare the new troopers for a rewarding career of service to the state of North Carolina.
 

Nuevo Programa Portafolio de Resiliencia Regional del estado ayudará a comunidades de NC a planificar ante el cambio climático

El nuevo Programa Portafolio de Resiliencia Regional de Carolina del Norte ha lanzado una alianza que fomentará la resiliencia en aquellas regiones del este del estado afectadas por el huracán Florence. El programa será coordinado regionalmente, con apoyo de consejos de gobierno y del Centro Rural de NC. La iniciativa tiene como blanco fijar los cimientos para tener un estado de Carolina del Norte más resiliente, participando proactivamente con líderes comunitarios para determinar y hacer planes ante peligros climáticos.
