  • Award 12 semester credit hours towards an Associates’ degree upon the successful completion of the Basic Correctional Officer Course administered through the Office of Staff Development and Training.
  • Additional credits may be awarded for various experiences, certifications, and courses such as BLET and Basic Probation Officer Training Courses.
  • We offer an Associate’s degree in either Criminal Justice or Criminal Justice-Forensics. We offer a Diploma in Criminal Justice. Additionally, we offer certificates in Criminal Studies, Forensics, Protective Services, Emergency Management, Courts, Corrections, and Public Safety.
  • We offer a specialized cohort for criminal justice professionals such as Correctional Officers that integrates DOC Correctional Officer Schedules.

  • Master of Justice Administration program consists of 36 credit hours, or a total of 12 courses.
  • Students attend three 15-week terms each year, taking two classes per term
  • Classes are held at the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, North Carolina, and the NCJA western campus in Edneyville, NC, meeting Friday evenings through Sunday afternoons one weekend per month over the course of the term
