Juvenile Fails to Return to Dobbs Youth Development Center Following Home Visit in Halifax County

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice reports that a juvenile placed in its custody at the Dobbs Youth Development Center failed to return to the facility today following a home visit.


The juvenile is identified as Joshua D. and was last seen at 9:30 a.m. today (Sunday, Aug. 24) on Carver Street in the Lincoln Heights area of Halifax County. The division has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.

Due to the unpredictability of juvenile behavior, division officials have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juvenile and the public.

The most recently taken photograph of the juvenile is below. Members of the public should report sightings of this juvenile to local law enforcement officials.
