More than 300 N.C. Army National Guard Soldiers Deploy to Kosovo

What: Mobilization Ceremony for over 300 North Carolina Army National Guard service members of Headquarters Company 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Headquarters Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armored Regiment and Alpha Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armored Regiment. These service members and units are deploying in support of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), a North Atlantic Treaty Organization that leads an international peacekeeping force in Kosovo.

When: Thursday, April 30, 3 p.m.

Where: Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh

Elements of 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team Deploys to Kosovo

RALEIGH - The North Carolina Army National Guard's Headquarters Company, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Headquarters Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armored Regiment and Alpha Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armored Regiment are deploying in support of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), a North Atlantic Treaty Organization that leads an international peacekeeping force in Kosovo. These units will host a Mobilization Ceremony Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 3 p.m., at the Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh.

While deployed to Kosovo, these Soldiers will contribute to a secure environment, ensuring public safety and order by coordinating the international humanitarian effort. They will also contribute to the development of a stable, democratic, multi-ethnic and peaceful Kosovo, by supporting the development of the Kosovo Security Force.
