N.C. National Guard Soldiers Deploy


What: Mobilization Ceremony for the North Carolina National Guard’s 30th Special Troops Battalion (Forward), for their deployment in support of U.S. Navy Central Command.

When: Saturday, April 11, 2015, 6 p.m.

Where: Holland United Methodist Church, 9433 Ten-Ten Road, Garner, NC 27603 Media Contact on Site: SFC Robert Jordan

Special Instructions: Interested media organizations are encouraged to arrive at the Holland United Methodist Church, by 5:30 p.m., in order to become oriented with the facility and to allow time for set up for camera coverage. Interviews will be granted at the conclusion of the ceremony. An NCNG PAO representative will be on site to facilitate interviews. 30th Special Troops Battalion (Forward) Deploys Overseas

The North Carolina National Guard’s 30th Special Troops Battalion (Forward) will host a Mobilization Ceremony, Saturday, at 6 p.m. on April 11, at the Holland United Methodist Church, 9433 Ten-Ten Road, Garner, N.C. 27603.

The 30th STB will deploy in support a spectrum of Base Operations while coordinating with the host Nation of Kuwait.

The 30th BSTB (FWD) is made up of Military Police, Chemical, Engineering, Mechanics, Cooks, Signal, Military Intelligence, and Support professionals. Due to the unique skills sets and dynamic composition of this unit and the Army National Guard, our Soldiers have been able to call upon their military and civilian expertise, additionally paring their civilian skill sets with the duties need to perform in country.
