The on-campus tac house provides training opportunities from a simple warrant serving to advanced task force training. It features steel breaching exterior doors and rack and sweep windows.
Center for Safer Schools at Samarcand is a unique training environment. Serving many purposes but most notably is active shooter and school safety response. As a repurposed high school campus, this facility provides a pivotal training environment.
The mock courtroom is an immersive classroom built to look identical to a court setting complete with a judge’s bench, witness stand, jury box and public benches.
Samarcand Training Academy offers a wide variety of training classrooms. From large classrooms with seats for 40+ to intimate rooms of about 20 including one secure connection computer lab.
We offer a full range of simulators for any need, from a VR platform, 90-degree simulator wall and all the way up to a 300-degree immersive simulator room. Several customized training scenarios have been created and utilized in training School Resource Officers, NC SBI Agents, NC Wildlife Officers with the Division of Law Enforcement, and several other law enforcement agencies
Our fully equipped gym serves to provide a training and wellness space for agencies and those on campus. It is also a Criminal Justice Standards approved POPAT facility.
At Samarcand, we offer dining services throughout the week. Unique to the Samarcand Training Academy are meals completely covered for all North Carolina law enforcement individuals and those who are instructing them. The 7,500 square foot building built in 2019, is capable of seating 180 individuals. The cafeteria offers a robust meal menu and schedule and four separate dining options are available to students: all you can eat salad and soup bar; hot serving bar; made-to-order grill; and grab and go (for those who wish to take out meals due to time constraints).
