Post Release Supervision and Parole Commission This independent agency is responsible for releasing offenders who meet eligibility requirements established in North Carolina General Statutes. Crime Victims Compensation Commission The Crime Victims Compensation Commission reimburses victims of violent crime for medical bills, lost wages, out-of-pocket expenses and other losses related to their victimization. Boards Alarm Systems Licensing Board The Alarm Systems Licensing Board administers the licensing, education and training requirements for persons, firms, associations and corporations engaged in the alarm systems business in North Carolina. Private Protective Services Board PPS administers the licensing, education and training requirements for persons, firms, associations and corporations engaged in private protective services within North Carolina. Inmate Grievance Resolution Board The five-member Inmate Grievance Resolution Board has jurisdiction over all appeals of inmate grievances brought through the Administrative Remedy Procedure.
