Every day, employees of the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention seek to build safer communities by intervening in the lives of at-risk and justice-involved youth. Oct. 22-28 is Juvenile Justice Week in North Carolina, and JJDP is proud to recognize its 2023 Raising the Bar Award recipients.  These awards are given to JJDP employees who have gone above and beyond in their duties, creating better outcomes for youth in the Division's care.

The North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 1st at the Richmond Community College Cole Auditorium, located at 1042 W Hamlet Ave, Hamlet, NC 28345.  

The North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Lenoir Juvenile Detention Center, located at 3055 Dobbs Farm Road, Kinston, NC, 28504.  

The North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct.4 at the Edgecombe Community College Center for Innovation, located at 2009 West Wilson Street, Tarboro, NC 27886. 

The North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host an in-person hiring event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Richmond Community College Cole Auditorium, located at 1042 W Hamlet Ave, Hamlet, NC 28345.

The North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the Dillon Juvenile Detention Center, located at 100 Dillon Dr, Butner, NC 27509.

The North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the Rockingham County NC Works Career Center, located at 8340 NC Highway 87, Reidsville, NC 27320.

The Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will host an in-person hiring event for at Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro, NC from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 28 at the Chatham Community Library 197 NC-87, Pittsboro, NC 27312.

JJDP HR and staff will set up on-site at the Facility and conduct application screening, assist with application completion, in-person interviews to include background screening and salary administration recommendations. Assistance will come from DPS Regional Recruiters, JJ Facility staff and the Central HR Team.
