The reader will dive into the world of Lucky Diaz, reading the story Paletero Man in both English and Spanish.

In North Carolina, firearms are now the leading cause of injury-related death for children and youth, and gun thefts are on the rise. Storing firearms securely helps protect our communities by preventing unintentional shootings and suicides involving firearms, as well as theft of firearms. This virtual event will bring together a panel of experts from across the political spectrum to discuss how we can help educate and build awareness around the importance of secure firearm storage.

Join GCC planning staff for an online training event dedicated to non-profit and governmental agencies who wish to apply for upcoming grants with GCC.  Participants will learn how to apply for a grant and GCC staff will review the funding priorities established by GCC Commissioners, eligibility requirements, supporting documentation required, as well as gaining access to and navigating the EBS grants management System.The workshop will be recorded and posted to the GCC website.
