About This Dashboard
The 5 Calendar Year Historical Trend dashboard presents six key juvenile justice indicators: complaints, diversion, supervision, detention, YDC commitments, and court outcomes.
It is designed to be accessible and can be used with a keyboard or screen reader.
Indicator definitions are available in the top-right section of the dashboard (Dashboard Legend).
The RtA population includes events involving youth ages 16-17 (e.g., charged, diverted, or placed on supervision).
How to Use This Dashboard
This dashboard can be used with a keyboard or a mouse. All content is available without using a mouse, and text descriptions are provided to help interpret the charts.
- Use the Tab key to move between filters, buttons, and charts, or use a mouse to click on them.
- Select a District to filter the data.
- Select a County to further refine results (optional).
- Use the navigation buttons to switch between the Previous Year and Previous YTD dashboards.
- Review charts to compare trends across years.
North Carolina has 30 juvenile judicial districts and 100 counties.
