RIVERSIDE YOUTH INTERVENTION : YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAM - REDUCE OSS AND JUVENILE PETITIONS

Location: Williamston, Martin County, NC

Oversight: This program receives funding and/or oversight by DPS.

Length of service: 4 to 6 months

The program will offer alternative services to the most at-risk youth at primarily the Middle Schools to help reduce Out of School Suspensions and subsequent juvenile petitions. The program will offer skills sessions to juveniles at risk of out of school suspension for behaviors that may lead to a juvenile petition. The program will incorporate a behavior modification curriculum that provides cognitive strategies for skills attainment.
