Not all of the programs listed receive funding and oversight by the Juvenile Justice Section of North Carolina Department of Public Safety’s Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice. The programs that do receive funding and/or oversight by DPS are designated as such.

Individual Counseling
individual, group and/or family psychotherapy and consultative services to children ages 5 through 18, and their families. Outpatient Therapy is provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Licensed Professional Counselor that provides therapy in a private office setting. Therapy sessions can occur on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on the need of the child and/or family.

Individual Counseling
Family Centered Treatment (FCT) is an in lieu of service for IIH. FCT evidence-based practice used to stabilize youth in the home by addressing underlying functions of behavior in order to reduce disruptions in the home, school, and community. FCT addresses the needs of a family as a whole, recognizing that what affects one family member affects all family members. This is a home-based treatment model, including experienced professionals and strong community supports to empower families.

Intensive Alternative Family Treatment (IAFT) - Serves children age 0 to 20 years of age. This program serves children who have not been successful at other levels of care. Child and family therapy is provided principally in the natural environments of the child. The child's treatment team meets weekly. The family of permanence participates in weekly team meetings, therapy, and shared parenting. This setting has a higher level of consultative and direct service from psychiatrists, therapists
