Not all of the programs listed receive funding and oversight by the Juvenile Justice Section of North Carolina Department of Public Safety’s Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice. Our trained parents provide a safe, structured and therapeutic home environment for children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavioral health needs that make it difficult for them to be safely maintained in their home natural environment. All children are provided with therapeutic supports to prepare them to safely transition back home or to a lower level of care.

Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC)
Day Treatment is designed to help children and adolescents with behavioral and social problems succeed in a traditional classroom setting. Year round treatment for children grades K-12, focused on, academic lessons, therapeutic recreation and evidenced based therapies to help them reduce stress and manage their behavior. Day treatment acts as a temporary alternative to a traditional school setting or can be used to ease transition from a more intensive program.

Day Treatment
Home and community based treatment designed to meet the needs of families who are having a difficult time managing the behavior of a child with a diagnosed mental health need. Provides concentrated treatment to address a current crisis and/or to decrease the risk of a youth being removed from their home. IIH can also assist with successful reunification with their family.

Multisystemic Therapy
The ALIVE program will provide court referred youth ages 14-18 with a diverse vocational/life skills program. ALIVE focuses on teaching youth the skills needed to become responsible, healthy adults. This will be done by providing positive adult contact to teach acceptable social behaviors while using the research based curriculum Social Responsibility Training. ALIVE will also teach life skills such as money management, basic home repairs, cooking on a budget, resume building, job related skills

Employment transportation is provided only in Alleghany.
