WHAT: Representatives from local law enforcement agencies will speak about “Operation Heatwave,” a two-day operation that sought wanted fugitives and absconders from probation or parole, drug offenders and confiscation of illegal weapons in Scotland County.
Representatives from the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office and the Laurinburg Police Department will speak about the operation. Representatives from the N.C. Department of Public Safety and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will be available to answer questions.
