The NC Violence Prevention Conference is North Carolina's only statewide event solely dedicated to addressing community violence. Held annually, this 2-day gathering brings together leaders, practitioners, and changemakers from across sectors to advance collaborative, evidence-based solutions for safer communities.

Moving Evidence to Action, Transforming Community Safety
This year’s theme, Moving Evidence to Action, Transforming Community Safety, emphasizes the importance of bridging research and real-world practice, by ensuring that the best available evidence is translated into effective violence reduction strategies. Our sessions will focus on innovative approaches to violence reduction, workforce wellness, and creating strong foundations for data and evaluation.

$80/per person
Payment Policy:
All interested attendees will be required to complete a two-step registration process. Please note that we can only accept card payments for registration. The registration payment is non-refundable.

Who Should Exhibit
An exhibitor hosts a booth at the conference to share about their business or organization. Exhibitors play a key role in connecting attendees with practical solutions, evidence-informed strategies, and capacity‑building supports that align with the conference’s mission.
Ideal exhibitors for this conference will offer resources, training, services, or information relevant to community violence reduction professionals.
Exhibitor Package
Exhibitor fee is $150.
The package includes:
- One (1) full conference registration
- One (1) 6' by 30" table with a black tablecloth and one (1) chair
- Access to workshops and keynote sessions
- Conference meals and snacks
- Company name and logo included in the conference app
If you would like an additional staff member to exhibit, they will need to pay the $80 registration fee for general attendees. While there can only be two chairs at each exhbitor table at once, additional staff members who are registered for the conference may switch off sitting at the table.

| Who is the Violence Prevention Conference for? | This event is suited for any leaders or staff of organizations planning, implementing, or supporting community violence prevention programs and activities within North Carolina (e.g. violence interrupters, state and county leaders, law enforcement, researchers, program directors, etc.) Whether you are working in academia, government, community-based organizations, hospitals or have lived experience, we encourage anyone within the violence prevention space to register. Due to space constraints, spots at the conference are prioritized for those working in the state. If you work outside of North Carolina and are interested in attending, please email ovp@ncdps.gov before registering. |

| Is there a group discount available? | Group discounts are not being provided for registration. |
| If I paid for registration but I can no longer attend the conference, can I get a refund or send someone in my place? | The registration payment is non-refundable. You may choose to send someone in your place up until October 26th. In order to finalize attendee details, we cannot accept registration changes past this date. If someone is going to take your place, you must email ovp@ncdps.gov and let our office know in order for us to collect their registration information. |
| Can I simplify the registration process by signing up a group of people all at once? | If you plan to sign up a group of three (3) or more people and would like to register the group all at once, please reach out to ovp@ncdps.gov for a different registration form. No group discounts are available. |
| Are there sponsorship restrictions? | There are no restrictions for who is able to be a sponsor of the conference! Anyone interested is encouraged to sponsor. |
| Where is parking available for attendees during the conference? | Parking at the Mariott will be free for all attendees during the conference. Proof of conference registration is not needed to park your car in the hotel parking lot during the day. |
| Will meals be offered during the conference? | Lunch will be provided to attendees on both days of the conference. As of now, plans to provide breakfast and/or snacks are tentative. Attendees will be notified ahead of time if a breakfast/snack option will be offered. |
