Day 1
- 2 Hour of classroom video case study of body worn camera incidents, including a focus on suspect care
- 2 Hours of hands-on, classroom-based skill training including tourniquets, pressure dressings, wound packing, chest seals, and airway management
- 2 Hours of lifting and moving training
- 2 Hours of trauma scenarios using TacMed Solutions high fidelity patient simulator
Day 2
- 1 Hour of survival mindset
- 1 Hour review of of the ICS system as well as overview of triage in the LEO setting
- 1 Hour of personal equipment review and construction of kits as a group
- 4 Hours of tactical and trauma scenarios using high fidelity patient simulators as well as the VirTra firearm simulator system on campus, including care for a downed suspect after use of force
Day 3
- 1 Hour of video case studies of body worn camera footage of complex scenes
- 1 Hour review of materials covered over the last two days
- 6 Hours of range time which includes live fire, buddy aid, self-aid, physical challenges, difficult patient access drills, and combinations of all of the above
