DPS Partners with Waste Industries to Expand Litter Free NC Campaign

WHAT: Department of Public Safety Teams with Private Sector to Expand Litter Free NC Campaign

WHERE: Fairway Outdoor Advertising, 508 Capital Blvd., Raleigh

WHEN: 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19

WHO: Frank L. Perry, secretary of the Department of Public Safety, Ven Poole, president and CEO of Waste Industries, Bill Grey, commander, State Highway Patrol

Background: Waste Industries has partnered with the N.C. Department of Public Safety to install 10 Litter Free NC billboards to help prevent litter in North Carolina. The billboards will be displayed along major North Carolina interstates and highways in these areas:

  • Hendersonville
  • Greensboro/Winston-Salem
  • Raleigh
  • Rocky Mount/Wilson
  • Wilmington

The billboards will be in place prior to the Statewide Litter Sweep, April 18-May 2.
