Juvenile Apprehended, Returned to Secure Custody


State and local law enforcement officials have apprehended a juvenile who failed to return to secure custody at the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center following a home visit on May 12.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police took the juvenile identified as Nehemiah H. back into custody early this morning and transported him to a Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice juvenile detention center. No additional charges have been filed against him at this time.

Assisting in the search for the youth were the Cabarrus County Sheriff Department, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, and NC Department of Public Safety’s special operations unit.
