Offender Sought in Randolph Correctional Center Escape

State correctional officers and local law enforcement are seeking Randolph Correctional Center minimum custody offender Grady R. York (#0456815), who was discovered missing from the facility in Asheboro at 9 a.m. today.

York, 49, is a white male, 5-foot-8, 173 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes originally from Randolph County, although he has ties in Montgomery County. He was serving a term of 15 years and five months as a habitual felon after convictions for larceny, breaking and entering and other property crimes.

He was admitted to prison on May 8, 2014. He was scheduled for release on Sept. 11, 2023.
