MEDIA ADVISORY: Public hearings on disaster mitigation funds planned for Oct. 14-16

ReBuild NC will hold three public hearings next week to receive public comments on how North Carolina plans to use $168 million in Community Development Block Grant–Mitigation funding allocated to the state by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Interactive sessions and presentations planned for the hearings will explain what mitigation is and how the funding may be used. For those who cannot attend a hearing, written public comments may be submitted by email to publiccomments@rebuild.nc.gov or by mail to P.O. Box 110465, Durham, NC 27709.
