Juvenile Escapes from Robeson County Courthouse

LUMBERTON
Nov 5, 2019

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice reports a juvenile has escaped from the Robeson County Courthouse located at 500 N. Elm Street in Lumberton.

The escape occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, following a morning court appearance. The juvenile who escaped is identified as Jericho W. and has been housed at the Cumberland Juvenile Detention Center since Oct. 14. The division has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.

Division officials have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juvenile and the public, due to a prior history of assaultive and unpredictable behavior.

The most recent photograph of the juvenile escapee is below. Members of the public should report sightings of this juvenile to local law enforcement officials.
