Offender Who Walked Away from Job Assignment Captured

A minimum custody offender who went missing from his job assignment on Feb. 3 was captured this morning in Pennsylvania.

Caldwell Correctional Center offender Kevin B. Adams (#1589300) was taken into custody without incident around 11:15 a.m. by the Pennsylvania State Police, who found him in Bedford, which is in Central Pennsylvania, while checking out a tip on his whereabouts.

Adams, 47, had last been seen on Cranberry Road in Lenoir, NC, when he walked away from his job assignment while serving a three-year, nine month sentence for obtaining property under false pretenses. He will be extradited to complete his sentence and to face escape charges. He had been scheduled for release from prison on March 19, 2021.
