Paige Worsham

Director, Office of Policy, Planning and Programs

Paige Worsham joined the NC Department of Public Safety in September 2026. In her role as Director of the Office of Policy, Planning and Programs, she leads the implementation of public safety policies and strategic plans to further the department’s mission. Using evidence-based analysis and research, the OP3 office collaborates with state, local and federal partners to advance public safety initiatives and systems. Before joining the department, Paige served as Associate General Counsel for the NC Association of County Commissioners, where she assisted local governments across the state with legal and policy matters. She also worked in state government and for the UNC School of Government with the criminal law and procedure team. A native of North Carolina, Paige received her Juris Doctor from UNC School of Law, a B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill, and an A.A.S. in Cybersecurity from Wake Technical Community College.
