RALEIGH

– NCNG celebrates the United States Army’s 240th Birthday with a small celebration and cake cutting. The youngest and oldest serving members of the NCNG will cut the cake. Following the birthday celebration, the NCNG will celebrate the retirement of Colonel Marc D. Axelberg. After a military career spanning more than 28 years, Col. Axelberg will retire as the Senior Active-Duty Army Advisor to the Adjutant General of the North Carolina National Guard.
