ALE Investigation Shuts Down Illegal Drug, Alcohol Locations

Last week, ALE concluded a long-term illegal drug and alcohol investigation with searches, arrests, and seizures after years of violence and complaints had plagued a Fayetteville neighborhood.

A long history of 9-1-1 calls to the Fayetteville Police Department, and complaints of illegal drug and alcohol activity originating from two residences prompted the investigation. Two adjacent houses, 527 and 533 Orange Street, were frequented by known, violent offenders believed responsible for numerous shootings and stabbings over the past few months.

Store Clerks, Teen Charged After ALE Investigation

Following a crash involving several teens earlier this month, two Wilkesboro convenience store clerks and a teen have been criminally charged.  

On the evening of Thursday, June 16, North Carolina State Highway Patrol (SHP) responded to a single-vehicle crash involving three teenagers in Alexander County. The 18-year-old driver struck a tree along Sulphur Springs Road near Taylorsville. SHP contacted ALE after open containers of alcohol were located inside the vehicle the night of the crash.

ALE Concludes Salisbury Drug and Alcohol Investigation


ALE special agents recently concluded a months-long illegal drug and alcohol investigation which resulted in numerous arrests, charges, and seizures.

The investigation stemmed from complaints of illegal drug activity at ABC-licensed convenience stores in Salisbury. Through the course of the investigation, special agents also identified several illegal alcohol businesses operating out of private residences.

Final Judgement Ordered in Waxhaw Nuisance Case

After countless years and a long history of disturbances, drug violations and numerous calls to the Waxhaw Police Department, this neighborhood should soon see long awaited changes.On Tuesday, June 21, Superior Court Judge Jonathan Perry signed a consent judgment for a Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action against the property located at 316 Rehobeth Road, Waxhaw.

Burlington Shooting Prompts ALE Investigation, Cancellation of ABC Permits

A Burlington event center is without ABC permits and four employees criminally charged after two patrons were shot inside the business.  

On Sunday, June 5, ALE was notified of the shooting inside Mamba Event Center, 2371 Corporation Parkway in Burlington, and immediately began investigating the incident.

After countless years and a long history of disturbances, drug violations and numerous calls to the Rockwell Police Department, this neighborhood should soon see long awaited changes.On Wednesday, June 2, Superior Court Judge Timothy Gould signed a consent judgment for a Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action for the property located at 116 Gold Hill Avenue, Rockwell.

Store Clerk and Juvenile Charged After Fatal Underage Crash

Following a fatal underage crash earlier this month, a St. Paul’s convenience store clerk and a juvenile have been criminally charged.  

On the evening of Saturday, May 7, North Carolina State Highway Patrol (SHP) responded to a single-vehicle crash in Lumberton. The 17-year-old female driver and only occupant was killed. SHP contacted ALE after alcoholic beverages were located inside the vehicle the night of the crash.

Final Judgement Ordered in Polk County Nuisance Case

Yesterday, after a long history of disturbances, drug violations and countless calls for service, Superior Court Judge William H. Coward signed a consent judgement for a Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action against the property owner of 301 Claude Gilbert Road, Columbus.

Undercover ALE Investigation Concluded at Fayetteville Bar

Yesterday, ALE special agents concluded a months-long investigation at a Fayetteville bar resulting in multiple arrests for drug and alcohol violations.

ALE began the investigation into Rednecks Yacht Club, located at 115 Dunn Road, after receiving numerous complaints of employees engaging in prostitution, consuming alcoholic beverages while on duty, and buying and selling of illegal controlled substances. Undercover ALE special agents made controlled purchases of cocaine and observed both criminal and administrative violations inside the business.

High Point Search Warrants Conclude ALE Investigation

ALE and the High Point Police Department yesterday raided three illegal alcohol outlets which resulted in the seizure of drugs and alcoholic beverages. The investigations stemmed from community complaints of illegal sales of alcoholic beverages in the High Point area.
