The State Highway Patrol proudly welcomed 22 new troopers today at a graduation ceremony held for the 159th Basic Highway Patrol School. The ceremony celebrates 29 weeks of extensive training to prepare the graduates for a meaningful career in law enforcement.

The State Highway Patrol held a promotion ceremony today at Hope Community Church in Raleigh to recognize the latest promotions of sworn and civilian members.

On Sunday, June 11, at approximately 12:54 a.m., the State Highway Patrol responded to call for officer assistance from Kenly Police Department in Johnston County.  Police were initially called to respond to shots fired in the area of 504 South Wilson St. Upon arrival, officers determined that an individual had become barricaded at a residence.
