28 tornadoes touch down in North Carolina

On April 22, the National Weather Service identified two new tornado touchdowns, one near Bath in Beaufort County and a second near Faison in Duplin County.
This makes the largest tornado outbreak in North Carolina's history with respect to shear number of tornadoes as well as the number of counties effected.
