UPDATE: Forsyth Correctional Center Inmate Returned to Custody

RALEIGH

UPDATE: Forsyth Correctional Center inmate Bobby Abraham (#1054681) was returned to custody Monday morning shortly after he left his work assignment in Winston-Salem at 7:40 a.m. Abraham returned to the facility at 11:06 a.m. He will face charges for his escape.

Prison emergency response teams and local law enforcement are searching for escaped inmate Bobby Abraham (#1054681). Abraham was last seen heading to a work assignment for the N.C. Department of Transportation in Winston-Salem this morning at 7:40 when he escaped.

Abraham, 28, is a minimum custody inmate serving a sentence at Forsyth Correctional Center for attempted trafficking a Schedule 2 drug in Mecklenburg County. His projected release date was April 2019.

Prisons initiated escape procedures and is working with local law enforcement to locate him. If anyone has any information on Abraham’s whereabouts, please call 911 or call Forsyth Correctional Center at (336) 896-7041.
