The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice has named Christopher Nichols as the new warden of the Gaston Correctional Center in Dallas, North Carolina.Nichols, 39, had been a captain at Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – As part of the disaster assistance process, FEMA must determine ownership and occupancy of damaged primary residences.

The State of North Carolina and FEMA have approved a hazard mitigation project grant of $7,204,669 to improve disaster resilience in the city of Lumberton in Robeson County. The funding for this grant became available after the damage caused by Hurricane Florence in 2018.
