An offender housed at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women who tested positive for COVID-19 has died at the hospital as a result of pre-existing conditions complicated by COVID-19.

Offender Christian Rodriguez (#1289662) died Thursday morning at Pasquotank Correctional Institution after an apparent suicide. He was found unresponsive in his cell at 1:09 a.m.
