Gov. Cooper released the following statement today on North Carolina receiving $336.5 million in Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding to assist communities struggling to rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Florence.

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved more than $4.8 million to reimburse the City of Jacksonville for debris removal following Hurricane Florence.

As North Carolina works to rebuild from past storms, Governor Roy Cooper today urged North Carolinians to take steps now to get ready for the next hurricane season.
