Disaster recovery centers in Wallace in Duplin County and Havelock in Craven County will soon close permanently. However, help is just a phone call or a mouse click away. The Duplin County center is located at:

State/FEMA disaster recovery centers will change their hours of operation beginning Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. The centers will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays. All centers are closed on Sundays.

Governor Roy Cooper has declared December 2 – 8, 2018 as Winter Weather Preparedness Week and is encouraging North Carolinians to plan and prepare now before potentially dangerous winter weather arrives.

The Sampson County disaster recovery center in Clinton will close permanently at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1. However, help is just a phone call or a mouse click away.

If you are a North Carolina homeowner, renter or business owner who sustained property damage or loss caused by Hurricane Florence you have two weeks left to register for federal disaster assistance.

Survivors of Hurricane Florence who received initial rental assistance from FEMA may be eligible for continued rental assistance. To be eligible to apply, survivors must meet the following conditions:

North Carolina continues to make progress recovering from Hurricane Florence, with more than $895 million in state and federal resources already approved, Governor Roy Cooper said Wednesday. He urged anyone who sustained damaged from the storm to apply for help if they haven’t already.
