Una infractora de la ley, participante en la iniciativa de Extensión de Límites de Confinamiento y, quien se había fugado de su unidad de alojamiento aprobada, localizada en Asheville, ha sido detenida.
An offender participating in Extending the Limits of Confinement (ELC) who absconded from her approved residence in Asheville last year has been apprehended.

Wendy George (#1335640) was serving active sentences for five counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense, Felony Violation Social Services, and Access Computer to Defraud.  She had a projected release date of Oct. 12, 2021. She now faces escape charges. 
Offender Semajs Short (#1539014), 24, died after he was attacked in a housing area at the prison by a number of other offenders at 2:14 p.m. today.
Updated: Two offenders who escaped from a prison facility in Lumberton yesterday were caught on foot around three hours later by Department of Public Safety searchers. They were sent to a higher custody level facility and will be charged with felony escape. How they escaped is under investigation.
The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice is actively seeking an offender serving a portion of his active sentence outside of prison who has absconded from his residential location in the city of Rocky Mount in Nash County. The offender was participating in the Extending the Limits of Confinement (ELC) initiative.
