The camp was held June 22 - 26, and gave attendees a chance to experience and learn what roles within the emergency management profession are like.
June is National Great Outdoors Month. Natural light helps regulate sleep patterns and energy levels. Outdoor time encourages movement, social connection and mental decompression. It gives the brain a break from constant stimulation and helps reset concentration levels, especially during stressful or emotionally demanding days.
Hurricane Preparedness Week is May 3-9 and provides an excellent reminder not to wait until a storm arrives to get ready. While the season officially begins June 1 and runs through Nov. 30, it’s never too early to be prepared.
