North Carolina National Guard

The North Carolina Army National Guard offers many opportunities for men and women. The N.C. National Guard has the best of both worlds – the opportunities and benefits associated with the military service and the opportunity for members of the Guard to continue their civilian lives in their hometown.

 


Notice to all applicants: The N.C. Department of Public Safety cannot hire or promote anyone who has engaged in sexual abuse in a confinement setting or other institution, convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community and/ or civilly/ administratively adjudicated for engaging in such acts.

This requirement complies with the United States Department of Justice Final Rule on the “National Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Prison Rape.” Under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards at 28 C.F.R. Part 115 Docket No. OAG-131 RIN 1105-AB34, the NC DPS must adhere to § 115.17 hiring and promotion decisions.
