Governor Pat McCrory’s efforts to make North Carolina the most military and veteran-friendly state in the nation is paying dividends. The Department of Public Safety hired 370 veterans during 2015 as part of the N.C.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol along with fellow troopers across the country are once again joining forces with the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the United States Department of Transportation by participating in the national Drive to Save Lives campaign.

The North Carolina Air National Guard promoted Sanford resident Clarence Ervin to the rank of brigadier general becoming the first African American general officer in the N.C. Air Guard's 67-year history.

State Highway Patrol Major Glenn M. McNeill Jr., was one of 230 law enforcement officers who graduated today from the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Va. McNeill, who is a 22-year veteran, oversees the State Highway Patrol’s Training Academy in Garner.
