The State Prison Emergency Response Team has captured escapee William Bailey. He was caught in Winston-Salem without incident around 4:00 p.m. with the assistance of local law enforcement. Bailey now faces escape charges.

Inmate Tony Davis #0985653 was found unresponsive in his cell at approximately 5:00 this morning at Lanesboro Correctional Institution. Prison medical staff and paramedics were unable to revive him and he was later declared dead, the result of an apparent suicide.
