Hoy, Gob. Stein agradeció a cuadrillas NCDOT por trabajar arduamente despejando caminos y salvaguardando a norcarolinianos; también emitió una nueva Declaración de Estado de Emergencia para que el estado cumpla con requisitos de asistencia federal, pueda responder o recuperarse del mal tiempo invernal y active al Equipo Estatal de Respuesta a Emergencias, antes de la tormenta el sábado por la mañana.
Hoy, 30 de enero, Gob. Stein sostuvo sesión informativa de actualización y orientación, al acercarse a NC otra tormenta invernal; estuvo acompañado por el secretario de NCDP), Jeff Smythe; el secretario de NCDOT, Daniel Johnson; el director de NCEM, Will Ray; el directivo de NCSHP, el coronel Freddy Johnson, así como por el directivo de NGNC, el mayor general Todd Hunt.
Today Governor Stein thanked NCDOT crews who have been working hard to clear the roads and keep North Carolinians safe. The Governor also issued a new State of Emergency to ensure the state qualifies if federal assistance is needed to respond or recover from this winter weather event and to activate the State Emergency Response Team ahead of the storm’s arrival on Saturday morning.
On January 30, Governor Stein held a briefing to provide updates and guidance as another winter storm approaches North Carolina. The Governor was joined by NC Department of Public Safety Secretary Jeff Smythe, NC Department of Transportation Secretary Daniel Johnson, NC Emergency Management Director Will Ray, NC State Highway Patrol Colonel Freddy Johnson, and Major General Todd Hunt of the North Carolina National Guard.
