Throughout the agency’s eight districts, special agents executed four search warrants, seized six firearms, 78 fraudulent identifications, U.S. currency and various types of illegal controlled substances. Of the 189 arrests and 449 charges, 20 were felony charges, 261 were alcohol-related charges, and 80 were drug-related charges.
After years of disturbances and a long history of drug violations, a recent murder and numerous calls to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, this community should soon see long awaited changes.

On Thursday, August 11, Superior Court Judge Tim Gould signed a consent judgment for a Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action against the properties located on Wildwood Road, Salisbury.
Following an ALE investigation, a Greensboro nightclub’s ABC permits have been summarily suspended after a patron was shot and killed.  

Early on Sunday, July 31, Greensboro Police Department responded to a shooting at Blind Tiger, located at 1819 Spring Garden Street, where officers found a patron suffering from a gunshot wound. Police contacted ALE who immediately began an investigation.
Two adults have been charged following an ALE investigation into a vehicle crash involving a teen driver.  

On Friday, July 22, North Carolina State Highway Patrol (SHP) responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a 17-year-old driver in Alamance County. At the time of the crash, alcohol was believed to be a factor. SHP contacted ALE, who immediately began an investigation.
Following an ALE investigation, a store clerk has been criminally charged after an alcohol-related collision left three teens hospitalized.
Last week, ALE concluded a long-term illegal drug and alcohol investigation with searches, arrests, and seizures after years of violence and complaints had plagued a Fayetteville neighborhood.

A long history of 9-1-1 calls to the Fayetteville Police Department, and complaints of illegal drug and alcohol activity originating from two residences prompted the investigation. Two adjacent houses, 527 and 533 Orange Street, were frequented by known, violent offenders believed responsible for numerous shootings and stabbings over the past few months.
Following a crash involving several teens earlier this month, two Wilkesboro convenience store clerks and a teen have been criminally charged.  

On the evening of Thursday, June 16, North Carolina State Highway Patrol (SHP) responded to a single-vehicle crash involving three teenagers in Alexander County. The 18-year-old driver struck a tree along Sulphur Springs Road near Taylorsville. SHP contacted ALE after open containers of alcohol were located inside the vehicle the night of the crash.

ALE special agents recently concluded a months-long illegal drug and alcohol investigation which resulted in numerous arrests, charges, and seizures.

The investigation stemmed from complaints of illegal drug activity at ABC-licensed convenience stores in Salisbury. Through the course of the investigation, special agents also identified several illegal alcohol businesses operating out of private residences.
After countless years and a long history of disturbances, drug violations and numerous calls to the Waxhaw Police Department, this neighborhood should soon see long awaited changes.On Tuesday, June 21, Superior Court Judge Jonathan Perry signed a consent judgment for a Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action against the property located at 316 Rehobeth Road, Waxhaw.
