Established in 1937, the SBI conducts criminal investigations across the state of North Carolina and are often called upon by local agencies to assist them when and where needed. The SBI Headquarters is located in Raleigh, with eight additional district offices as well.

The three-day Field Force Operations (FFO) course provides law enforcement and security officers with instruction in protest types and actions, legal considerations, responsibilities of mobile field force teams, and crowd-control methods. The course culminates with a series of hands-on activities that allow responders to practice all of the learned skills (baton-holding positions, mass-arrest procedures, and riot-control formations) in a realistic context.

ALE is the lead enforcement agency for the state's alcoholic beverage control, lottery and tobacco laws. As such, ALE special agents target problem ABC-licensed and illegal establishments that serve as havens for violence, drugs, gang activity, organized crime, money laundering and other criminal activity.

This AR-15 armorer’s course is a two-day comprehensive course covering the operation and maintenance of this popular platform. Topics of discussion will include assembly/disassembly, cycle of operations, nomenclature, gas system, barrel twist and length, barrel replacement, aftermarket parts and modifications, ballistic issues, brands, cleaning and maintenance, sights/optics, headspace, firing pin protrusion, along with service and repair.
