Four State Troopers' heroic actions saved the life of a young female in Henderson County on Tuesday, Feb.

Inmate Michael Rollins, 36, was pronounced dead at WakeMed on Sunday. He was transported to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a nurse found him unresponsive in a shower at Central Prison, after an apparent suicide attempt.

Col. Glenn McNeill was officially sworn in today as commander of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. McNeill, who has served with the organization since 1994, will be the 27th commander since the Patrol’s inception in 1929.
