Department of Public Safety employees around the state donated school supplies to North Carolina students as part of the Governor’s School Supply Drive. Secretary Eddie M. Buffaloe Jr. traveled to Randolph County and Asheboro City schools on Oct. 10 to donate supplies.

The Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has named Tyshanda Brown the new director of Pitt Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Greenville. A native of Beaufort County, Brown began her new duties on Sept. 12 after her promotion from facility supervisor. 

The N.C. Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) is now accepting grant applications for the Public Housing Restoration Fund Program, with approximately $16 million to be awarded to public housing agencies experiencing unmet hurricane recovery needs.
