State correctional and local law enforcement officers are seeking Davidson Correctional Center offender Johnny Porche (# 0327128), who escaped from the minimum custody prison this morning by scaling a fence at the facility and running away at 1:15 a.m.

A joint effort involving the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) resulted in the collection of 26,020 pounds of unused prescription medications as part of Operation Medicine Drop’s (OMD) Fall Take Back Event and the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
