OVP produced factsheets that bring together community health and public safety data to inform violence prevention planning in each North Carolina county.

  • NC DETECT Firearm StoryMap: Explore both fatal and nonfatal firearm-related injuries reported via EMS records.
  • NC-FASTER Quarterly Reports: Access fact sheets that highlight nonfatal firearm injuries at the state and county level. Reports highlight county and group-specific spikes in nonfatal firearm ED visits, as well as counties with the highest annual rates of injury.
  • IVPB Webpage: Firearm-Related Deaths and Injuries: Review reports, fact sheets and slide decks that feature data from health data systems including NC-VDRS, death certificates, hospital department data and surveys. Fact sheets can be easily downloaded and shared.
